First Glimpse

Lake Tahoe is one of my all time favorite places on earth, and while we try to visit each year, the economy and other factors have forced us to skip a year. So when we do go, the built up excitement is staggering!! We always fly into Reno, grab the rental car and head for the lake through Truckee and then into Tahoe City. This is typically one of the first views (outside of the car) that I see, and the extreme natural high I experience is better than any drug could possible produce. It's a combination of built-up anticipation, excitement, clean fresh crisp air and an amazing view - we finally made it back to the place I love!! I find that my feet are barely touching the ground as I walk towards the railing to see the beloved lake! Of course, then it's off to Rosie's for lunch, and then on to the south shore.  Can't wait to go back again!!!!
