This is an old stone structure on Fannette Island in Emerald Bay on the western shore of Lake Tahoe. The owner of the property was regularly rowed out to the island for her tea time.
I have always wanted to take a whack at tilt-shift in post-processing because I really like the effect. I think it turned out decent for a first effort.... kind of has a miniature feel to it, no?

This is great. I believe Photoshop CS6 has a built in tilt-shift feature. But I cannot afford CS6 ($700-ouch). Is this effect mostly a blurring of other areas than the central focus? I just can't figure out why it has that miniature model look, but it does. Wonderful pic!
